Description
Chemdye® SWE high-absorption swabs for use with the Chemdye® PRO1 ENDO system.

Usage
Chemdye® SWE high-absorption swabs are intended for sampling the internal lumens of cannulated instruments. The swab is introduced through the internal channel to collect any residual contamination that may remain after cleaning. When used alongside the Chemdye® PRO1 ENDO system, these swabs assist in assessing cleaning effectiveness by detecting and measuring residual protein deposits within internal channels.

Storage Conditions
Store Chemdye® SWE swabs between 15–30 °C. Protect from light and maintain relative humidity levels of 20–80%.

Transport Conditions
Where practicable, storage conditions should be maintained during transport. Products should be shipped in closed, reinforced packaging to minimise the risk of damage. This product does not pose a health risk during transportation.

Shelf Life
24 months when stored under the specified conditions.

Labelling

Precautions

• Always handle swabs using gloves.
• Do not open the packaging until immediately prior to use.
• Single-use only; do not reuse or re-incubate.
• Do not sample surfaces that have not undergone a cleaning process or areas with visible contamination.
• Avoid contact with the absorbent tip or internal surfaces of the device. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including gloves and a mask, and follow standard hygiene practices.
• Do not freeze.
• Chemdye® SWE swabs are intended for use exclusively with the Chemdye® PRO1 ENDO system.

High concentrations of alkaline detergents may, in some cases, lead to false-negative results. Oxidising disinfectants (such as hydrogen peroxide or peracetic acid) may cause false-positive colour reactions. Although Chemdye® PRO1 ENDO demonstrates high sensitivity, it is designed for monitoring internal channels after the cleaning process and does not confirm that a device is sterile.
