Description

Effective reprocessing of surgical instruments begins with the prompt removal of blood, tissue, and other biological residues immediately after use. Inadequate cleaning can compromise subsequent disinfection or sterilisation processes, increasing the risk of patient exposure to residual organic matter and microorganisms.

The Chemdye® PRO1 ENDO Hygiene Monitoring System is designed to assess the cleanliness of cannulated instruments by identifying residual protein that may remain following cleaning. It is used alongside Chemdye® SWE high-absorption swabs, which are specifically developed for use within cannulated and lumened devices. The swabs are passed through the internal channel of the instrument to collect any contaminants that may persist after reprocessing.

When incubated using the recommended Bionova® Auto-Reader units, the Chemdye® PRO1 ENDO system delivers quantitative protein results ranging from 1 to 50 μg, with a limit of detection (LOD) of 0.5 μg*.
