High Sensitivity Pen (PRO1MICRO_CHEM_20)

Description

The PRO1 MICRO is a high-sensitivity protein detection pen designed to identify and measure residual protein on surfaces and in hard-to-reach areas following cleaning. It supports both qualitative and quantitative hygiene monitoring to verify cleaning effectiveness.

• Comprises a reactive reagent solution and a high-absorbency swab, enabling consistent sample collection across a wide range of surface types
• Dimensions: pen diameter 12.4 mm; pen length 161 mm; swab length 111.9 mm
• Limit of quantification: 1.0 µg BSA
• Sensitivity: 0.3 µg BSA

Testing Methods

• Qualitative assessment: Incubate using the Bionova® IC10/20 incubator at 60 ± 2 °C for 7 minutes. Results are interpreted visually using the reference guide supplied with the product
• Quantitative assessment: Compatible with Bionova® IC10/20FR, IC10/20FRLCD, and MiniPro auto-reader incubators. Refer to the relevant device instructions for use prior to testing

Incubation Conditions

• IC10/20FR or IC10/20FRLCD auto-readers: 7 minutes
• MiniPro auto-reader: 4 minutes
• Temperature range: 60 ± 2 °C

Handling and Limitations

• Single-use only; do not open until ready for use
• Avoid touching the swab or internal components; use gloves, a surgical mask, and appropriate hygiene precautions
• Do not freeze
• High levels of alkaline detergents may occasionally produce false-negative results
• Hydrogen peroxide-based disinfectants may result in false-positive colour reactions
• While PRO1 MICRO offers high analytical sensitivity, it is not a microbiological test and does not confirm surface sterility
